Habitudes alimentaires des Etatsuniens : les urbains mangent plus de viande, mais aussi plus de fruits et légumes que les ruraux. L’obésité en revanche apparaît comme plus rurale. Ce n’est donc pas une question d’Etat mais de mode et de cadre de vie.

He looks like shit, doesn’t he? Let’s recap. Bradley Manning is a U.S. soldier who has been detained in a high security facility for leaking government information to WikiLeaks. The information exposed war crimes the U.S. committed, such as killing innocent people and releasing other top-secret government documents and videos. They’re still floating about online. I’ve seen them. They’re available to you, too. Bradley Manning leaked the documents with intention to bring some sort of semblance of the truth to the American people. He seemed to feel that this information should be available to everyone, and acted on that feeling. Bradley Manning intended change in American citizen’s view on the war. Since his arrest in July 2010, he’s been held in torturous conditions. He’s being held in solitary confinement 23/24 hours of the day AND sleep deprived. Both of which (alone) have effects causing similar symptoms to that of psychosis. Sleep deprivation is also the most common form of torture among prisoners of war. Sixty hours of sleeplessness causes hallucinations and severe mental deterioration. Recently, it has been reported that he’s being forced to sleep naked out of some sort of fear that he will inflict harm upon himself. This makes absolutely no fucking sense to me. His clothes are taken from him at night ONLY. He has them during the day. And he’s NOT on suicide watch. How the fuck are you supposed to kill yourself with a pair of underwear anyway?

Now, whatever the fuck happened to cruel and unusual punishment? As I’ve pointed out, he’s being fucking tortured. And what the fuck, Obama? You’re (supposedly) embarrassed of the treatment of the detainees at Guantanamo, however you’re perfectly accepting of the torturous conditions of your own soldiers? You haven’t even done anything about Guantanamo, asshole. It was a campaign promise of yours to close Gitmo, and you fucking didn’t. Fuck you. You’re also fully aware of the conditions Bradley Manning is facing, yet you do absolutely nothing. Fuck you. You’re a fucking coward. Bradley Manning is a hero.

Why is Bradley Manning being held in these conditions? He hasn’t shown any violent behaviors, and hasn’t hurt anybody. In fact, he’s been a model detainee since he arrived in Quantico, Virginia months ago. I’m scared for this dude. He tried to bring truth to the people, and we failed him. He’s probably going to be tried soon. And there’s a really, really good chance he’ll be sentenced for capital punishment. Where are the fucking protests in this man’s name? He’s an American fucking hero, and people should love him for that. This is really scary.
